The Syrian Monologues is the initiative of theatre-maker Iman Aoun, creator of the revolutionary Gaza Monologues (2010) which took stories of young people trapped in
Gaza out to the world.
The Syrian Monologues is based on true stories of Syrian refugees living in Jordan. It is another world initiative by Aoun, showing solidarity between the Syrian people and the international theatre community.
The Syrian Monologues was performed in Sri Lanka in Sinhala, Tamil, and English on World
Refugee Day.
